[Al's nose twitches, and he makes a noise, frowning in his sleep and turning over. He hasn't been sleeping, so his body is attempting to catch up.]

[Sigh.

Lucifer slides off the window sill, and walks around the room, examining things. He finds a twig which had blown in through the window, and he singes the end, then walks over to Al silently.

And begins to draw a moustache on him.]

[al_truism]

[Al is a very, very heavy sleeper. Aside from a few twitches and ineffective pushes of his hands, he doesn't react.]

[So Lucifer lets him sleep. He goes to the kitchen, and quietly gets a drink, and then sits beside Al's bed and finally nudges him with his foot.]

Does your brother drug you every night?

[al_truism]

[Maybe it's Lucifer's voice, but Al wakes with a start, and immediately throws the pillow at him with a yell. Good thing the house is empty.]

[Lucifer has the advantage of being awake, and aware of Al's reflexes. So he catches the pillow as if he prophesied its coming, then sets it on his lap as an arm rest.]

What are you doing in my room?!

[He lifts the mug in a mock salute]

Sampling Marge's goods. Say, now that you're up, let's have a chat.

Were you watching me sleep?!

Al, you really need to lay off the romance novels.

I was in the kitchen.

[al_truism]

[Al rakes a hand back through his hair and reaches for a shirt. All the scars are on parade.]

What do you need?

[thelightbringer]

[Lucifer doesn't seem to notice. Naked, clothed, it's no difference to him.]

Your Alchemy skills.

[al_truism]

[Al glances up with the shirt halfway on, strands of hair fluffing around his face, uncombed and sticking up in all directions.]

What do you need, exactly?

[thelightbringer]

A few cages.

[Even with that moustache to look at, Lucifer is very businesslike.]

[al_truism]

Cages? For what?

[thelightbringer]

Rats. Vermin. But whatever size you make, I can work with.

[al_truism]

... why do you need rats?

[thelightbringer]

I don't. But they're around anyway. That's why I need cages. It makes it easier to cart them off to Undertaker that way.

[al_truism]

What does Undertaker do with them?

[thelightbringer]

I don't know. You hunt, you fish, you have animals trapped and domesticated. Are you balking about catching rats?

[al_truism]

He just seems a little... creepy.

[thelightbringer]

He's a death god. I'd worry about your sanity if you weren't a little put off by him.

[al_truism]

... all right. If some giant rat-monster shows up, it wouldn't fit in the cages anyway.

[thelightbringer]

I think you're still half-asleep, is that a 'yes' or a 'no'?
