I'm not certain whether you are aware or not, but a deal with the Animus was partially responsible for what occurred in January. It is in everyone's best interests, not just his, not to negotiate with them.

Those types of beings only make deals that benefit them, no matter how good they sound at the time. And they will make them during events while we are compromised, as they did then.
