[Al is somewhat more haggard than when Watanuki saw him last. He moves with a little bit of favoring to his left leg; the old bullet wound is acting up with the cold. He kneels down next to him, offering a small smile.]

You look very serious.

So do you. [ Watanuki offered him a smile back, patting the cot for Alphonse to have a seat by him. The attic was nice and warm, the heat rising into the room. ]

...I'm just tired. Its not easy seeing weird stuff in your dreams. Especially when it comes true. [ He looked up to the sky. ] Things have been... exciting lately.

I've never had that happen to me. I can't imagine how terrible it is, Watanuki.

[ There was a bit of silence. ]

...You know, it wasn't until I came here to Adstringendum... that I actually kind of appreciated what I could see. Before, it was a total pain. Everyone back home treated me like some kind of freak...

But here, its a little different! I guess everyone has something that's special about them.

So its nice. Not because I'm meshed in with everyone, but...

I feel like I'm looking after all of these important, special people.

[ He looks over to him, finally. His hand rests on Alphonse's knee, rubbing it gently. ]

Is something wrong with your leg?

[It's strange, being touched like that so casually. Until coming here again physical affection didn't happen that often. It doesn't hurt, so he half-smiles.]

Old injuries. I was shot there, once, and stubborn about seeing a healer. Now it aches when it's cold.

Shot? Ouch... [ He couldn't imagine what that felt like... though he had many other kinds of pain before. Watanuki moved a blanket over to him, covering his legs. ]

You should keep warm, then, Alphonse-kun! Its only going to get colder.

That'll teach me.

[He chuckles and gratefully moves closer so Watanuki won't have to lose the blanket. He's not self-conscious about sharing.]

... tell me more about what's going on?

[ You might not be, but... ]

[ Watanuki feels his cheeks heat up a bit as they move in close together to talk. ]

...Mmm... you mean the dream...?

Its just really simple... that's pretty much it.

...But if you mean around the house, well...Ichiru-san's room was broken into, and everything was a mess. I spent all day cleaning it.

Was anything taken?

[Al tilts his head, the better to see Watanuki's face. He looked troubled, even if it was hard to see in the dark.]

It ended up being his twin brother, Zero-san. Though I have no idea why he broke in, considering he knows me.

Tch! But whatever...

That does seem kind of odd... would you like me to fix the window?

Oh... um, you don't have to...

I might ask Sebastian-san if he doesn't mind doing it. That or Alucard-san. [ He nudged into him a little. ] Don't worry about it.

...Are you staying here tonight?

... would you like me to? There are a few hours of darkness left, I think we could get some more sleep.

When you say it like that, you probably should stay just so you actually get some rest. [ He lays down in bed, snuggling into the cot. ]

D'you... want me to find a bed downst-...?

[Not that he's against bedsharing but it's up to Watanuki's comfort level.]

Its fine. I don't mind at all.

[Al nods and climbs in with him, shivering and curling up against Watanuki's side, warm in the darkness.]

... tonight, I'll chase away your dreams.

Hehehe.... we'll see.

[ Watanuki doesn't mind being close to Alphonse. In fact, he really like it. ]

[ But... the small bit of silence between them doesn't last for very long. Beside the blond, Watanuki takes a deep breath. ]

...Alphonse-kun?

[He opens his eyes -- Watanuki sounds serious again.]

[ Oh man. His heart is hammering. ]

...I want to tell you something... important.

But I'm not too sure if...

[ He felt like he was going to strangle on his own words. Watanuki's two-toned eyes closed tightly. He tucked his chin in a bit, as if trying to hide. ]
